ATTO 436H is a hydrophilic fluorescent marker with a coumarin structure. The characteristic properties of this dye include high fluorescence quantum yield, high photostability and low molecular weight. As a hydrophilic variant of ATTO 425, ATTO 436H is highly soluble in water and the fluorescence efficiency is only slightly reduced after coupling to biomolecules, such as a protein, even at higher degrees of labeling (DOL). ATTO 436H is an anionic dye. After conjugation to a biomolecule, the dye carries a net electrical charge of -1. Efficient excitation of fluorescence occurs in the 405 - 455 nm range.
