ATTO 386H is a fluorescent marker with a coumarin structure. The characteristic properties of this dye include high fluorescence quantum yield, large Stokes shift, high photostability and low molecular weight. As a hydrophilic variant of ATTO 390, ATTO 386H is very soluble in water and the fluorescence efficiency is only slightly reduced after coupling to biomolecules, such as a protein, even at higher degrees of labeling (DOL). ATTO 386H is an anionic dye. After conjugation to a biomolecule, the dye carries a single negative charge. Efficient excitation of fluorescence occurs in the 360 - 410 nm range.
